Happy Birthday Natalie!

Today was my sister-in-law Natalie's Birthday. To celebrate, Natalie, her Mother Vickie, Greg's Mom Penny, and I went to the taping of Good Things Utah. It was so much fun!

Here's all of us with the Girls from Good Things Utah. They were all so nice.

Here's Natalie and here mom Vickie waiting in line for the show.

We just thought we should pose here for fun.

Then, we went to lunch at Red Robin where the servers brought Natalie this delicious Mudd Pie and sang to her (against her wishes of course but she was outnumbered). She shared with us girls because, "Every girl needs a little chocolate" (that's for you Nat and chloe).

Is it just me or is Vickie just a Little excited for her baby to turn 33?
Happy Birthday Natalie! Thanks for being such an awesome sister-in-law and an even better friend!

Like Mother Like Daughter

Ever since I was a little girl, I have ALWAYS loved doing hair. I remember watching my aunt braid my cousin's hair and practiced and practiced until I got it right. I was always playing with my sister's hair and my mom's hair. Many crazy hairdos came from those experiments. Well, monkey see monkey do...Ashy's new thing that she loves is to do my hair and my makeup...

Here's the final updo. However, I didn't get any pictures of my makeup, but if you think my hair is colorful you should have seen my face.

And up next... my cousin Branda. I could tell by Branda's face that it was really hurting. She was such a good sport. Hers ended up looking like and indian princess. For real. She did it really cute!

Oh yes. Greg wasn't exempt from this fun fun activity. Here's Ashy trying to get his hair into a ponytail. She was so proud of herself when she got it to stay in.

The final look. As you can tell by his face Greg is SO thrilled that I am taking pictures. Ashy was so proud of herself. Good job Ash. I'm sure you'll think of something even more creative next time.

Mrs. Utah Pageant

Last night the love of my life, Greg judged the Mrs. Utah pageant in Provo. So, let me explain how that happened. Greg started a non-profit organization called Heart2Home with Tiffany Berg, who happens to be Mrs. Utah 2007. So, long story short. Tiffany still does all the marketing for Mrs. Utah and I guess kind of nominated Greg to be a judge. So, he did. Our friend Brandy Richardson (Brandy Vega is her "famous" name) was also a judge.
Brandy's husband Tyson and I are heckling Greg and Brandy in this pic.

This is all we could see of Greg, Brandy, and all the other judges. Mind you this is zoomed all the way. We were WAY up in the nosebleeds. But hey, it was still fun. And we even picked the top 5 (almost). But not in the right order. Needless to say, I will never look at pageants the same. I was VERY impressed with the caliber of these women. Seriously, I could NEVER do what they did. Many were AMAZING! It was a very good experience.

Today Ty & I got to go with Ethan and his preschool class to Thanksgiving Point to see all the new baby animals. It was a lot of fun!

Here's Ethan trying to pet the llama. He was so brave and wanted to pet all the animals.

Ty and Ethan on the hayride. We had the whole class on it. We were pulled by two Clydesdales. Ethan was very impressed that they could pull all of us. He giggled the whole time.

They gave us some kernels of corn to feed the animals. Here is Ethan with his friend Carter feeding some goats. After this Ethan held up 2 of his fingers and told me he needed to wash these two fingers because the goat sucked on them. It was cute!

Here's E dog posing at one of the play areas.

This cow was HUGE and when I mean huge I mean the poor cow should calf any day. Poor thing. I know the feeling. Ethan loved her. He said she was a "nice cow."

Hot dogs and marshmallows!

Our family LOVES sitting around the campfire, so Greg and I put a fire pit in our backyard so we can have a fire whenever we like. The kids LOVE it! There's nothing like a hot dog cooked over a fire! Yesterday was a perfect day so we had our first REAL fire without any wind. It was a perfect night. Although it was messy.

The kids LOVED roasting their own hot dogs. Some didn't make it though

Even Ty is enjoy a hot dog minus the dog. Okay okay bun only!

I'm not sure this is still considered a marshmallow. That's how he likes them though!

Is it bad when your 11 month old decides the house is too dirty?

Alright. So, If you REALLY know me you would know I have a hard time keeping my house clean. Which really frustrates me because I have these friends who have more kids, are way more talented at EVERYTHING than me, and they also have cleaner houses. Today, Ty decided he'd had enough of the mess and grabbed the broom and got to work as if to say, "Mommy...please sweep." Hmmph...well...I guess I'd better go clean! Laters!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! This easter was very special because my Grandma Vivian came up from New Mexico to stay with us over Easter. We LOVED it! We don't get to see her too much so when we do it is definately a treat! We had a wonderful Easter!

FLOWERS, FLOWERS, AND MORE FLOWERS

So, I bought Ashton an Easter dress and didn't have any flowers that matched her dress, nor did my sister-in-law Natalie. So, we decided to make them some ourselves. Wow did we get carried away. Needless to say, we ended up with over 150 flower clips to last a lifetime. But hey, the girls all enjoyed designing their own clips and they all turned out so pretty! It was lots of fun!

Welcome home Jensen Family!!!!

Yea! The Jensen Family finally came home to their newly remodeled house yesterday! It was so awesome! This was our 10th project and what a great project it was! The Jensens were selected because of who they are and the battles they have faced. Nate and Natalie Jensen are the parents of 4 children. Nate has been diagnosed with a blood disorder, and their two oldest sons have both been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. Because of their challenges their home could not fit their needs and with rising medical bills they needed help. That is when Heart2Home & Zion’s Builders decided to step in and add on to the home as well as update, remodel and make the home wheel chair accessible. It turned out Beautiful!!! Here are some pics of the house as well as some of the reveal. Now, on to the Sevy family!

We're not suppossed to drink coffee.................

Today my little sister Jeni came over for a haircut in between conference sessions. And boy did she need one! Sorry Jen, but you did. Somehow, we decided we were craving Tirimisu so we got Olive Garden takeout complete with Tirimisu for lunch and watched the second half of conference together. Well, as we were sitting there we realized that we were watching conference while eating a dessert made with coffee....oops. To which Jeni said, " well...we're not suppossed to drink coffee. But, nobody said we couldn't eat it right?" Oops! Well, I feel bad but it was sooooo good! Thanks Jen for the fun afternoon and the yummy idea for lunch! luv ya!
