San Diego day 2

The kids (Ty actually) woke us up at 6am. We decided to go explore the grounds of the resort. It was so beautiful! The kids had so much fun feeding the ducks and running on the beach.

Then we went to San Diego Zoo. It's our new favorite zoo. It was HUGE! Luckily they have a trolley that takes you through the whole zoo. The kids loved it!

Ashton's favorite stops were the Pandas, the Polar bear, the monkeys and the hippos.
We loved the petting zoo. Ty got scared by this cute goat right after this when it sneezed on him.

Ethan's favorite animals were the snakes, giraffes, hippos and sea lions.
Tyson's favorite stops were the hippo and fish tank, "timon", the playground and the petting zoo.

This was one of our favorite stops. It was so crazy to be so close to the hippos and crocs.

After the zoo we had dinner on the beach and watched the sunset.
We ended the night back at our hotel and had more smores on the beach. What a fun family day!

San Diego day 1

Our first day of vacation wasn't exactly smooth. We got to the airport with no stress. The kids were so excited! Even Ty was. He LOVED looking at all the airplanes.

Here are the boys waiting to board.
Before every flight we all touch the outside of the plane for good luck.

And we're off! Ethan was so excited He told me for 1 hour straight to Phoenix & then again from Phoenix to San Diego!!

Ashy as always was an angel. She kept herself busy with her drawings. She's our little artist.
Ty on the other hand was great while He could see things out the window. He was plastered to it. Then, there was only clouds and sky. He lost it! He was so bad I've never been so excited for a layover in my life! But.... we made it!
We checked into our Hotel which was absolutely beautiful, ate some dinner and had a fire on the beach complete with smores.
I think Ty ate more smores than anyone else. No, that's not a marshmallow in his mouth. His cheeks are always that chunky :)
Me and my lil buddy Edog
Daddy's girl
It was a great ending to a long day of flying!

So Proud!

We did it! We finished another Home Makeover. We don't do this for recognition. We do it to give. We love it! We love the spirit that comes into our lives through these makeovers. We love the people. We love the feeling. Now, we get to enjoy. People are starting to pay attention. Starting to care. I am so so proud of Heart 2 Home. We started as a fluke idea and blossomed into what we are today.
We got news in August that Greg is a finalist for the National Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Award. It is for the work He's done with Heart 2 Home. If chosen as a winner Heart 2 Home would receive a $10,000 grant and would be great publicity for our little foundation. I am pretty excited about it all!
Here is the NAR press release that was sent out. "Daily Real Estate News August 19, 2009 Good Neighbor Finalists Announced Ten REALTORS® were announced today by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® as finalists for REALTOR® magazine’s 2009 Good Neighbor Awards. Now in its 10th year, the Good Neighbor Awards program recognizes REALTORS® who volunteer their time to help others and make their community a better place to live. In November, five winners will be selected from among the 10 finalists and will receive travel expenses to the 2009 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Diego, national media exposure for their community cause, and a $10,000 grant for their charity. Five honorable mentions will receive a $2,500 grant. The winners also will be announced in the November issue of REALTOR® magazine.“Despite today’s busy world, the Good Neighbor Awards finalists still find ways to give their time in service to others," says NAR President Charles McMillan. "They are truly inspiring and deserve to be recognized for their hard work.” The Good Neighbor Awards finalists are:Greg Adamson, Prudential Utah Real Estate, American Fork, Utah, Utah Heart 2 HomeInspired by the national home makeover television show, Adamson has led 10 local home makeover projects for needy families since 2004, generating $2.5 million in donations and materials from the community. He also converted a 33-foot trailer into a mobile medical unit, which has provided health care services to thousands of people without insurance. Adamson has also led bone marrow testing drives that have added more than 2,000 people to the national registry, and he found a donor match for a 16-year-old girl."
I am so proud of Him! He deserves this so much! We are leaving on Wednesday, along with the kids as well as Greg's parents. I'll take lots of pictures and will post when we get home. San Diego here we come!

I love you honey and I am so proud of you! Thank you for bringing the spirt of giving into our family. So proud of you!
