Who out there is not looking for a last minute Christmas Project? Heart2Home has been approached by a group from UVU who serves underprivileged women. Many are from low income and domestic violence situations, they have asked us to help provide a small Christmas for some of the children. There are 32 woman who have children who more than likely will not have any presents for Christmas. What we would like to do is assign families or numbers out (they are numbered and not named for privacy) the idea is to get one or two gifts for the children nothing large but keeping in mind this may be all they get. We are still working through all the details, but I would like to do is have a party next Monday night where we would have a Santa and give the gifts to the parents then. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks again and I swear one of these days we are going to have advanced notice and not do everything last minute. Sometimes projects come up that grab at your heart and its hard to say no!
Below is more information about the group at UVU and the groups and children's age because of privacy we know nothing more than sex and age so do the best you can with that!

The Women's Resource Center at UVU specializes in meeting the needs of women students and is dedicated to encouraging women in all areas of education. Our goal is to provide information, assistance, and referrals to the opportunities and resources available on campus and within the community.
The students who access the WRC are primarily non-traditional. Specifically, we serve single parents, displaced homemakers, low income folks, and survivors of domestic violence. It is those survivors of domestic violence who have become a great part of our focus. They receive funding from the Women's Independence Scholarship Program, WISP, to meet some of their survival needs. They also receive Pell grants and are on food stamps and housing assistance. WISP and the WRC recognize the value of education in lifting these women and their children out of poverty.
It is our goal to give our clients a connection on campus, advocacy as needed, referrals to campus and community resources, and encouragement. I have the rare privilege of assisting in the journey of these courageous women and witnessing the life-transformations they experience as they move forward and leave abuse and dysfunction behind.
