Silly E Dawg

Ethan is one funny kid. Let me tell you He is hilarious and comes up with the craziest stuff. He makes me laugh. I have a funny story about Ethan to tell you.
The other day Tina and I picked up the boys from preschool when we had a funny little conversation that went like this:
Ethan: "Slug bug, what color?"
Me and Tina, "Blue? Green?
Ethan, "Nope"
Me, "yellow? Black?"
Ethan, "NO"
Me, "purple? Pink?"
Ethan, "No!"
Me, "I give up!! Give me a clue."
Ethan, "it starts with wha wha wha (making the sound a w makes)"
Me, "WHITE!!!!"
Ethan, "NO MOMMY"
Me, in a sarcastic but silly voice to Tina, " I know... WED!" laughing
Ethan, " YES!! WED!!!"
Tina and i laughed our guts out all the way home. It was so cute!
We had a totawwy tewwifffic aftewnoon! Haha!

Guess what I got for Mother's day! I got this awesome laptop from my hubby. And then Greg got some of our Heart2home friends to come finish my bathroom downstairs. I'm so excited to have a bathroom my clients can go in instead of running upstairs mid color. I'm so excited. All I need to do is Decorate! Fun fun Fun!
Scott & Tiffany came over and helped. Tiffany brought me chocolate chip cookies and a book. Scott did a tile baseboard and helped Greg put the vanity and the toilet on!

Let there be a light fixture!!!

Career Day

Today was Ashy's 2nd grade career day. She asked Greg to come to her class and tell them about what He does for work. Well, she wasn't too impressed with Real Estate. Instead, she asked him to do a presentation on, "extreme home tear down houses and rebuil." (that's what she titled it)

Last night we put together this video to take to school to show to her class. She was so excited this morning she was so hyper. Greg just came home and told me how happy she was. She is so proud of her Daddy. She loves him so much. It's so cute to watch their very special relationship! Here's the video:

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mommies out there! I hope you are feeling as loved as I am today! It really has been one of the best mother's days ever (which is really weird to say that). I love my Hubby so very much, He's my very best friend in the world. I love you Greg! The kids have overwhelmed me with little letters and pictures today. They are so sweet and make me feel so loved. Thank you sweet ones! I love you more! Kisses!

Kindergarden Shots

Mister Ethan had his kindergarden shots today. Greg and I were so worried about how and when to tell this little man about it. We told him this morning and being the amazing daddy Greg is just told him straight out and told him we would take him to lunch wherever He chose if he was brave. Ethan immediately said, "Del Taco!" This boy is addicted to Del Taco, it's crazy! So Ethan got dressed, brushed his teeth and took it like a man! So proud of him!

The vision test! He passed! Yay! I hold my breath at all of these because I'm blind as a bat and had glasses in the 3rd grade. I hope my monkeys don't!

He got his "Muscles measured" which by the way are HUGE!! He weighs 42.8 lbs and is 43 inches tall! 50% in his weight and 25% in his height (poor Greg was sad to hear that)
They pricked his finger to check his blood. It hurt him for a sec and then when she was drawing the blood he thought it was really cool!
This was E's face when they told him to pee in this plastic cup! Haha!
His favorite part! He said his pee was so warm it burned his hands to hold the cup! Silly silly!

Shot time :( He got 4 shots, 2 in each leg. He almost cried but held strong! He was so brave I was so proud of him!

When we were all done the nurse brought him milk and cookies and a treat bag with lots of fun things and....."a free kids meal at Del Taco! For FREE!" -Ethan
Thank you thank you to the Awesome nurses and Dr who made this scary event so much fun for Ethan! He actually enjoyed it and tells EVERYONE about it! Especially the peeing in a cup part!

Thought we were done with home makeovers...

I guess NOT! Greg and I own a couple of rental properties and have had some bad experiences, but this takes the cake! I have never used so much bleach in my life! I literally covered every surface of this house with bleach. It was absolutely disgusting. The kids had a great time checking the mouse traps every day. I've never had to clean up anything like this in my life!

This is what the carpet looked like... in EVERY ROOM!

The renters must love art because they left it EVERYWHERE! EVEN inside the toilet seat!

They had a dog, a pit bull in fact that they left as well. Hey people! I don't want your dog!

Excuse me people, but I think you forgot some things!

Found some awesome surprises under this pile the other day. We won't even go there!

Another art project! They even work in SHARPIE!

More art, then it looks like she tried to cover it up. Hello, that's not the right color. The whole bedroom looked like this!

I don't even want to guess what this might be all over the wall!

Here's where the little micey family lived! They're dead now!
Caught more mice in here! Anyone want some wrapping paper?

More lovely carpet stains!

Don't ask what's in that brown bag! The freezer was completely full as well!
A note for my new renters who moved in last night:
Dear renters,
I have scrubbed every surface of this beautiful home for you. I've repainted every wall and base board and put in new carpet. Will you please keep it nice for me? I think I'll cry if you don't!!
Sincerely, Your Landlord
